“LubiGel is committed to operate and grow its business in a socially responsible way. Our CSR vision is to grow our business whilst reducing the environmental impact of our operations and increasing our positive social impact”.

LubiGel’s CSR Policy is indeed supported by the following principles:

We are committed to conducting our operations with integrity and respect, in the interest of our stakeholders, and in line with our ETI Base Code.
We ensure our business growth and environmental sustainability does not conflict. Our business model is designed to deliver sustainable growth. The inputs to the model are our brands, our products, our people and our operations. The outputs to the model are sustained growth, lower environmental impact and positive social impact.
We collaborate and engage with different stakeholders including Governments, NGOs, Suppliers and nearby villages to tackle the challenges faced by the society.

Over the past 2 decades, LubiGel carved a space for itself in the society not just as a technology and innovation pioneer, but also as an organisation that ‘cares’. Our corporate social responsibility reaches out to touch lives and make a difference in the communities in which LubiGel operates. Here are some initiatives that we are committed to.

Animal welfare

In India cow is considered a holy animal. At LubiGel, we are passionate about ‘gau seva’ or cow upkeep. Our CSR initiatives include routine spending on shed maintenance, food, animal health and accidental cow treatment. Cow protection is as important an agenda for us as supporting livelihood of rural population through cattle welfare.

Environment

Solar & Water harvesting – Exploring into the idea of ‘right to clean energy’, we have begun work to diversify into solar energy. Work on solar panelling is underway at our factory premises in Gujarat etching our commitment further on being a socially responsible entity while also sensible to enjoy the fruits of good returns in the long run. Our endeavour to optimise natural resources to its full capacity for the benefit of mankind is also a driving force behind initiating water harvesting facility in our plant. We are driven with the prospect of conserving and preserving precious rain water, reviving depleting water levels to reach sustainability and controlling environmental damage through soil erosion and flood hazards by our new initiative.

Community welfare

Education is the key to India shining. LubiGel has facilitated in building a proper environment for learning among over 800 rural children in the local schools of Manjusar village, close to our manufacturing facility. Routine training for life skills and hygiene is provided to children in areas of self-development and safety. Annual drawing competition is held to foster creativity and out-of-the-box learning amongst the young impressionable minds. During the COVID-19 pandemic healthy and wholesome meals were provided to a large migrant worker population of Manjusar village, which is considered a hub for migrants as it is in close proximity of an industrial belt.
